Main Activities

 

  • Manages the local standardization team.
  • Ensures that flight instructors meet the competency requirements as defined in ”Airbus Training” standards.
  • Ensures that flight instructor relevant training and/or standardization forms are completed in accordance with the applicable procedures.
  • Proposes specific training as per A60.4 when applicable.
  • Acts as standardization trainer and evaluator.
  • Provides feedback and support to the continuous improvement of the Airbus Flight Crew Training Operations Manual – Personnel Training – A60.4.
  • Reports to the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) of the Worldwide ATO in regards to the delegation as local Chief Flight Instructor.
  • Participates to worldwide and regional standardization workshops 
  • Participates to the Worldwide (Approved Training Organisation) ATO Core Team
  • Disseminates relevant information to the flight instructors.
  • Provides input to the flight instructor technical booklet.
  • Organizes and runs local Notice Observations (NO) and No Notice Observations (NNO) 
  • Participates in the Advanced Flight Instructor Standardization Council on request.
  • Participates in working groups as defined by the CFI of the Worldwide Airbus ATO.
  • Provides support to other training centres on request of the CFI of the Worldwide Airbus ATO.
  • Provides the monthly feedback for the Worldwide ATO List of Instructors.
  • Provides support to the development and execution of the recurrent training & checking program.
  • Promotes Airbus Flight Training Reference.
  • Ensure local standardizer well-being.
  • Keeps proficiency as Type III instructor and examiner and provides at least 10% of her/his working time to perform flying activities.
  • Allocate up to 10% of his/her working time to perform customer simulator sessions as an instructor (production).
  • Continually promoting the safety policy to all personnel and taking part in SMS initiatives.
  • Convening and documenting all interviews and follow-up action required in case of sub-standard performance.
  • Support the local Head of Training for the compliance with Airbus requirements and internal rules.  
  • Controls and validates the competency management plan of the local instructors of the training centre in coordination with the local Competence Manager.
  • This mission requests a minimum engagement of 3 years.

The jobholder will ensure flight instructor training, supervision, standardization and competency in compliance with applicable regulations and Airbus policy and processes.


Requirements


  • You have the ability to deliver on time and on quality the project with strong coordination skills.

  • At least 10 years of working experience in a similar capacity 
  • You are a qualified International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Type Rating Instructor (TRI) / Type Rating Examiner (TRE), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) licensed.
  • You have relevant Flight Training experience,
  • You have significant Airline operations experience, wide body experience is a plus.
  • You have relevant knowledge in 
  • Competence Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), Threat and Error Management (TEM) & Human Factors is a must 
  • Evidence Based Training (EBT) knowledge is a plus.
  • Team management experience in the airline industry is a plus.
  • Language skills: Negotiation level in English
